 About lesson

How can I start lessons?

Please follow the steps below to book a lesson.

  1. Create an account on Sign up page
  2. You will receive an email to verify your identity, so click it to register your profile. Please
  3. purchase tickets from Purchase Plan  from the top menu bar.
  4. Make a reservation from My Page
    • Reservation by date - You can reserve a lesson on the date you want from the calendar.
    • Book from instructor - Book from the schedule of the instructor you are interested in
  5. Click the Book button to confirm your reservation
  6. When the time comes, open the call system and start the lesson!

What do I need for lesson?

To get started, please complete theFree membership regisitration 
Besides, please ensure you have access to a PC, tablet, or smartphone along with an internet connection.
-PC or tablet is recommended

What is the level of the Japanese instructors?

All instructors have native-level Japanese proficiency and meet Watashi’s quality standards.
To learn more about each instructor, please visit Our Teachers  page and view their profile information.

Can I cancel or reschedule a lesson?

Yes, you can cancel up to 12 hours before the lesson starts.
After booking your free trial lesson, please go to the lesson details page in the Lesson List page to cancel.
To reschedule, simply book a new time slot.
Please note that if the cancellation deadline has passed, you will not be able to rebook the lesson.

Can I take a lesson from outside Japan?

Yes, absolutely!
As long as you have membership and the necessary setup,
you can enjoy lessons from anywhere in the world.
Feel free to give it a try!

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes, Watashi Online Academy accepts credit card payments.

Is there a monthly fee?

No, there is no fixed monthly fee. Only lesson ticket fees are charged.

Do tickets have an expiration date?

Tickets are valid for one year from the purchase date.

Can you issue receipts?

Yes, we can issue receipts.
Since receipts are issued manually, please contact us through our inquiry form to request a receipt.

What call system do you use?

We use Watashi Online Academy's proprietary system.
You will be automatically connected through the link on the reservation page. No additional software setup is required.

What should I do if I can't hear audio?

If you can't hear audio, please check if your computer's volume is set correctly and if your microphone and camera are properly configured.

Do I need a webcam?

If your computer doesn't have a built-in camera, please consider installing a webcam.
We recommend turning on your camera to improve lesson quality.

I'm not receiving emails from the system

If you don't receive the verification email when creating an account for a trial lesson, please contact us through our inquiry form.
Sometimes emails may not be delivered due to anti-spam measures by email providers.
In such cases, we will investigate the cause and resolve the issue.

To avoid potential issues, all communication between members and instructors takes place on our platform.
Please use the message function on the lesson details page for communication.
